Food Service Department

The Food Service Department is responsible for providing the residents with high quality, nutritionally balanced meals in an attractive manner that meet their daily nutritional needs.  Each resident admitted to the Oneonta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be screened by the Food Service Director.  The Registered Dietitian will assess each resident's for nutritional status and develop an individualized nutrition intervention plan.

The goal of Food Service Department is to encourage consistent dietary intake, preserve the eating pleasure and quality of life while maintaining our resident's optimal nutritional status in compliance with their wishes.

Our facility runs a four week menu cycle which is planned by the Food Service Director and approved by the Registered Dietitian.  Every six months, the menu's are rotated for spring/summer and fall/winter cycles.  If a resident/patient is unable to consume the meals offered, appropriate meal substitution and/or supplements will be provided.  Menus are copied and delivered to any residents room that wishes to have a copy.
